Valencia fans need to get behind Carlos Corberán

Valencia manager Carlos Corberan is currently unpopular among their fans, but is it time that the Mestalla crowd backed him, rather than continuing to shroud the club in negativity?

Valencia’s struggles both on and off the pitch have been well documented in recent years. An absent owner, a new stadium no one particularly wants, and a team not fit to lace the boots of previous sides which graced the Mestalla pitch.

Within the fanbase, everyone knows Peter Lim is to blame as the root cause of just about every problem which led to the decline of what should arguably be Spain’s third-biggest club.

However, this does not mean that others find themselves exempt from criticism or hostility. Far from it.

The players often find themselves subjected to torrents of boos, whistles and abuse at Mestalla, but perhaps the most unpopular figure on a matchday is Carlos Corberán.
