A message from editor Rahul Lakhani
La Liga London has been my biggest personal project for over six years, and it has gained an audience far greater than I could have imagined when I first set up the Twitter account in the summer of 2020.
Spanish football is my passion and I am now living life through it in Valencia, with a clear determination to cover it in a way which has not been done before.
La Liga London is not just about what goes on during the 90 minutes, it is a direct feed into everything that goes on in Spain even when the final whistle is blown.
For too long, Spanish football outside of the biggest clubs and players has not received the coverage and insight it deserves, and I am determined to change that.
The initial launch received a lot of positive feedback, and it is clear that there is an audience for people who want to follow Spanish football in English, without any of the nonsense that now surrounds sport media.
It is a great challenge, but with the support of CounterPress Media and their dedication to independent journalism, combined with my love of Spanish football, we believe that La Liga London can be the true home of English-language La Liga coverage.
